In-Game Ads Work


eb.in-games is your solution to reach the active and growing gaming audience—providing innovative opportunities for ads to appear before, during and at the end of casual games.

To see how gamers would respond to ads in casual games, Eyeblaster and RealNetworks, a leading developer, publisher and distributor of casual games, conducted a beta test of eb.in-games. During the beta test, 15-30 second video ads were served in four casual games. After users downloaded and played the games, they answered an online survey about their reactions to the ads.

Over 50% Were happy to view a video ad in exchange for free game play
Over 50% Played the full video ad
Over 30% Thought the ads were effective
Over 30% Agreed the duration of the ads was appropriate
Over 20% Enjoyed watching the ads

Knowing all chicks love to have everything matching, we wanted to show that you can have a car that matches your shoes, your handbag, your dress, even your nails - and of course with the space to store it all! We developed interactive banners that allowed users to match the color of the car with their lifestyle and to fit their lifestyle into the car. Eyeblaster allowed us to bring the banners to life with expandable placements that really grabbed the users attention."

Tips for Creative Designers: How to Make the Most of Video Studio

Ensure your video ads deliver the best user experiences available on the Internet today with Eyeblaster’s Video Studio. It is your key to video ads that are a cinch to create and that provide the best quality experience for viewers.

  • Find Video Studio in your Eyeblaster Platform account - it is the first menu option under the Creative menu button.

  • Download and install our latest MXP component. This will install all the latest Eyeblaster Video Studio 2006 components and buttons.
  • Use our video component to simplify your production process - no coding is needed to setup video (if you open the Component Inspector in Flash (ALT+F7) you will notice that it is all setup - no need to code the commands!).
  • Save time and energy: upload your source file into the Eyeblaster Platform. Video Studio will convert up to 12 different video versions and ensure each user gets the bitrate, file version and serving option that matches his operating system.

  • Check file size acceptance from the publishers for streaming or progressive video in our Spec Tool. Current limitations are 2.2 or up to 4.4mbs. Reduce the chance that a publisher will require changes to the ad after it has been trafficked.
